Daisy wrote about how actress Keira Knightly, best known for playing some breasty lady who gets saved by pirates, BANNED Cinderella in her home because A STRONG WOMAN DON’T NEED NO MAN TO SAVE HER. Or something.
Well, Keira isn’t the only celebrity with fairy tale qualms.
Kristen Bell, who voices “Frozen’s” Anna, has a problem with ‘Snow White.’
You know… because of that whole unconscious kiss and all.
According to her conversation with Parents.com:
“Every time we close Snow White I look at my girls and ask, ‘Don’t you think it’s weird that Snow White didn’t ask the old witch why she needed to eat the apple? Or where she got that apple?’ I say, ‘I would never take food from a stranger, would you?’ And my kids are like, ‘No!’ And I’m like, ‘Okay, I’m doing something right.’”
The apple question is not the only one that Bell—a Disney Princess herself as the voice of Anna in Frozen—has after reading the tale. “Don’t you think that it’s weird that the prince kisses Snow White without her permission?” Bell says she has asked her daughters. “Because you can not kiss someone if they’re sleeping!”
Here are a few more questions she should ask her children, while she’s at it:
“Do you guys think mirrors can actually talk sometimes? Don’t talk to evil mirrors.”
“Don’t you think it’s really messed up that the Queen wants her heart in a box? You should never put your enemies’ hearts in boxes, even if they’re prettier than you.”
“Isn’t it weird those creepy trees have monster faces? Y’all know trees don’t have faces, right? Don’t do acid.”
“Do you think it’s mean to call short men ‘elves’?”
“Should you allow wild animals in the kitchen while baking? Is that a hygiene concern?”
“Should you shack up with 7 dudes you don’t know?”
“Is CPR rape?”
All important questions.
