The response could not be more cringe-worthy.

Thank you for those words. Right now I feel beaten and betrayed. The GOP has metaphorically just assaulted and put their hand over the mouths of every survivor. And for Senator Collins to do so stings even more.

There’s a lot of this… and I’m OVER IT. EVERY ALLEGATION OF ASSAULT is not YOUR assault. This insistence on lumping EVERYONE’s experiences together is absolutely ridiculous. I don’t want to be cold… but THIS IS NOT ABOUT YOU.

But it gets even MORE eye-rolly from Rather. Cue his narky use of quotes.

There is a certain irony that Brett Kavanaugh will hereby be known as Justice Kavanaugh. Perhaps a convention will develop whereby the “Justice” part is forever bracketed by quotation marks.
