September 13, 2018President Trump has been tracking Hurricane Florence. He received quite a bit of backlash after suggesting that the response to Hurricane Maria, which devastated Puerto Rico, was an “unsung success.”
The death toll has been raised to nearly 3,000. I’m not suggesting that’s on him (people dropped the ball on all levels, especially the local level), but I thought it was a less than ideal time to bring it up.
Trump is doubling down.
3000 people did not die in the two hurricanes that hit Puerto Rico. When I left the Island, AFTER the storm had hit, they had anywhere from 6 to 18 deaths. As time went by it did not go up by much. Then, a long time later, they started to report really large numbers, like 3000…

…..This was done by the Democrats in order to make me look as bad as possible when I was successfully raising Billions of Dollars to help rebuild Puerto Rico. If a person died for any reason, like old age, just add them onto the list. Bad politics. I love Puerto Rico!

I’m sure we’ll have people who LOVE this follow up and HATE it. I don’t fall in either camp. This is Trump, and he’s not wrong about the fact that Democrats frequently go out of their way to make him look bad. “Literally Hitler,” you know. I mean, some people are already blaming Trump for Hurricane Florence. The Washington Post even has an article out, stating that Trump is “complicit” in the storm.
That’s the level of insanity he’s dealing with.
