Conservatives have VERY strong opinions on Marco Rubio. Some absolutely LOVE him, and others loathe him entirely. I don’t fall under either of those categories. I like him just fine. TBH, him telling Alex Jones “I’ll take care of it myself” accidentally made me like him more. Like, it made me cringe, but I was still feelin’ it. I’M SORRY.
At this moment, I have no strong feelings on Little Marco. (I don’t use that nickname to demean him. I genuinely find it ridiculously catchy.)
Moving on. As you know, Obama recently gave a speech to a group of students and jumped back into the political fray, because he wants to be relevant again. (Come on, Barry. Desperation is NOT a good look on you!) During the speech, Obama described Republicans as resentful and paranoid.
“You happen to be coming of age” Obama said. “It did not start with Donald Trump, he is a symptom, not the cause. He is just capitalizing on resentment that politicians have been fanning for years. A fear, an anger that is rooted in our past but is also borne in our enormous upheavals that have taken place in your brief lifetimes.”
“…the politics of resentment and paranoia has unfortunately found a home in the Republican Party,” he added.
Trump responded. He said Obama’s speech was very good…for sleeping, that is.
TRUMP quickly gets to criticizing OBAMA’s speech: “I watched it, but I fell asleep. I found him very good — very good for sleeping. I think he was trying to take some credit, some credit for this incredible thing that’s happening to our country.” pic.twitter.com/FQkX467J0H

Rubio decided to react to Obama’s speech too, and I have to say. He got him good.
Pres. Obama is right. It is wrong for a President to use divisive language, such as:
1. Call all opponents of same-sex marriage bigots
2. Call the Pro-Life movement a "War on Women"
3. Call all immigration enforcement advocates racists
4. Call the GOP the enemy of Hispanics— Marco Rubio (@marcorubio) September 8, 2018
How about when he made a joke about former First Lady
Nancy Reagan conducting seances? https://t.co/pVgBUXEw1b— Marco Rubio (@marcorubio) September 8, 2018
Barack Obama on people left behind by new economy: “And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

Barack Obama justifying ignoring constitution limits on the power of President: “Middle-class families can’t wait for Republicans in Congress to do stuff. So sue me.”

Barack Obama in a Univision interview calling on Hispanics to vote against GOP “enemies”: “If Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, ‘We’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us…”

Barack Obama at a speech at American University accused those who opposed #IranDeal of making common cause with those in Iran who chant “Death to America”.

DAAAAAAANG. He went there.
We should ALL,the Dems, the GOP,the media, admit our role in turning politics into theatre. Being outrageous equals clicks, viewers & therefore ratings & $ for media & fame for politicians. Being normal gets you ignored & a primary challenger for being “too weak”.

He’s kinda right about that. How often do “normal” people get the spotlight? Almost never. Although one could argue that there AREN’T any “normal” politicians out there anyway.
