Barack Obama is baaaaaaaack. He’s not even TRYING to stay out of the political fray. He wants back in.
Today I’m at the University of Illinois to deliver a simple message to young people all over the country: You need to vote, because our democracy depends on it. I hope you’ll tune in at 11am CT: https://t.co/34WjNaVAcU

He spoke to a group of students at the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign and straight up accused Trump of “capitalizing on resentment that politicians have been fanning for years.” This wasn’t the type of thing where he was subtly talking about Trump either. No. He used his name.
“You happen to be coming of age” Obama told the crowd. “It did not start with Donald Trump, he is a symptom, not the cause. He is just capitalizing on resentment that politicians have been fanning for years. A fear, an anger that is rooted in our past but is also borne in our enormous upheavals that have taken place in your brief lifetimes.”
America was unhappy with the direction Obama was taking us in. We were sick of MSM slobbering over Democrats and refusing to hold anyone accountable. We were sick of political correctness and getting walked all over. If that’s what he means by “resentment,” so be it. I wanted better for my country, and Trump is delivering. But to Obama? To Obama, we’re just a bunch of paranoid losers. He said, “the politics of resentment and paranoia has unfortunately found a home in the Republican Party.”
Boy, I missed his narcissism. NOT.
I was expecting a huge tweetstorm from Trump, but he instead delivered a more measured response during a rally. It was still PLENTY Trumpy, though.
He said he found Barry’s speech “very good for sleeping.”
TRUMP quickly gets to criticizing OBAMA’s speech: “I watched it, but I fell asleep. I found him very good — very good for sleeping. I think he was trying to take some credit, some credit for this incredible thing that’s happening to our country.” pic.twitter.com/FQkX467J0H

I’m still expecting a tweetstorm on this over the weekend. Stay tuned.
