Spokesperson Denies That Pence Is Beyhind NYT’s Anonymous Op-Ed

By now, you’ve heard about NYT’s decision to run an ANONYMOUS op-ed written by someone who claims to be a senior member of the Trump administration. This individual claims to be part of the “resistance.”

To be clear, ours is not the popular “resistance” of the left. We want the administration to succeed and think that many of its policies have already made America safer and more prosperous.

Nice attempt at a save. Whoever wrote this is still a gutless coward.

Twitter exploded last night after realizing that whoever wrote the piece used the word “lodestar.” Why? Because Mike Pence is one of the only people who uses that word out loud semi-regularly.

We may no longer have Senator McCain. But we will always have his example — a lodestar for restoring honor to public life and our national dialogue. Mr. Trump may fear such honorable men, but we should revere them.

Everybody is trying to guess who wrote the NYT op-Ed. Someone found a clue: In talking about the late Senator John McCain, it says “…a ‘lodestar’ for restoring honor to public life and our national dialogue.”

You know who’s used the word “lodestar” in his speeches?

Mike Pence.

You get the idea.

I’m convinced whoever wrote this deliberately used the word in order to make everyone THINK that he or she is Mike Pence. I don’t think he wrote this. Not at all.

All that being said, a spokesperson is denying Pence’s involvement in the piece. Pence’s deputy chief of staff and communications director, Jarrod Agen, addressed the rumors directly on Twitter.

The Vice President puts his name on his Op-Eds. The @nytimes should be ashamed and so should the person who wrote the false, illogical, and gutless op-ed. Our office is above such amateur acts.
