During the chaotic sh*tshow otherwise known as the Brett Kavanaugh hearing, a Parkland victim’s father– Fred Guttenberg– went up to Kavanaugh and tried to go in for a handshake. Kavanaugh looked really confused and ultimately walked away. So of course, everyone is all, “OMG Kavanaugh DISSED a Parkland victim’s father OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG.”
Brett Kavanaugh, a potential Supreme Court justice, refused to shake the hand of @fred_guttenberg, whose daughter Jaime was murdered in her high school in Parkland, Florida. Remember that the @NRA spent $30M to elect Trump who would, in turn, appoint Kavanaugh.

I think Kavanaugh looked genuinely caught off guard. Think about it. Think about the utter CHAOS that he’s endured all day. Democrats whining. Feminists screeching, and out of no where some random dude from the audience comes up to him and asks for a handshake? It was a chaotic mess. Guttenberg demonstrated horrific timing. I don’t think Kavanaugh knew what was going down, and by the time he did realize it, everyone was moving on. It was a circus in there. I wouldn’t shake some random stranger’s hand in that environment either.
This smells like political theater.
Of course, MSM is running away with this like crazy.
Wow, here’s Kavanaugh giving @fred_guttenberg a contemptuous look before turning his back on him. Guttenberg’s daughter was killed in the Parkland gun massacre pic.twitter.com/Fz9e0gwytv

Shame on Kavanaugh. How could you treat a father who lost his child this way? https://t.co/LYXrh9R9d1

Vile. Despicable. Deplorable. https://t.co/K1euk1oy4K

If Kavanaugh won’t even give him a handshake, how can we believe he would give gun violence victims a fair shake in court? https://t.co/OiDP6lB1Ez

Honestly– I think under normal circumstances, he would’ve taken the handshake.
Just walked up to Judge Kavanaugh as morning session ended. Put out my hand to introduce myself as Jaime Guttenberg’s dad. He pulled his hand back, turned his back to me and walked away. I guess he did not want to deal with the reality of gun violence.

At the Kavanaugh hearings. A lot of thoughtful discussion, until it got to Ted Cruz. Thankfully, he did acknowledge elections have consequences. After his discussion of the 2nd amendment now, looking forward to @BetoORourke becoming Senator as a consequence of this elections

I really feel for Mr. Guttenberg– after all, he lost his kid. However, he’s made it abundantly clear that he’s not interested in having a rational discussion on gun violence. He said so himself. He was there for one reason and one reason only: To “resist.”
I will be at Kavanaugh hearings and I hope to play a role in ensuring that this man does not become the next Supreme Court Justice. https://t.co/6oC7OPlyB8

Proof that this is all theatrics.
Oh. And he also accused Kavanaugh of not caring about 9/11 victims, so that’s really nice of him.
There are plenty of people who have vouched for Kavanaugh’s character. Of course, MSM is trying to launch a damaging smear campaign. Now, he hates women, children, clean air, clean water AND the parents of shooting victims.
As Judge Kavanaugh left for his lunch break, an unidentified individual approached him. Before the Judge was able to shake his hand, security had intervened. https://t.co/ylOhtA1s6G

NEW VIDEO of hearing room clearly shows security intervened when Judge #Kavanaugh was approached. pic.twitter.com/ZGRRCcWroW

Incorrect. I was here all day and introduced by Senator Feinstein. No security involved. He turned and walked away.

It’s very difficult to watch the video of the incident and think that this tweet was intended to be accurate https://t.co/XeayBLA1ve

Fred Guttenberg’s attempt to shake Brett Kavanaugh’s hand as he was leaving seems like an ambush rooted in bad faith. Judging from the video, Kavanaugh looked like he was caught completely off guard by a stranger he did not know. pic.twitter.com/Ak6iifWHwF

I have no idea what Guttenberg said in the video, I can’t make it out. But I’d wait before blasting Kavanaugh on this. Bad optics, yes. But this seems like more staged political theatre where grieving family members are used as props by the #Resistance https://t.co/cg4FDQWeh0

Bingo.
Round 2 starts tomorrow. Get ready. More ridiculous political theater coming right up.
