Fox News foreign correspondent Conor Powell left a pretty dramatic message on his Facebook, announcing his abrupt departure from the network:

DRAAAAAAMA.
“After nearly 9 years I have decided to resign from Fox News. Those of you who have spoken to me in recent months, you will understand why I am leaving FNC.”
Sounds to me like someone’s a little butt hurt. Just saying. The dude’s been going around running his mouth for months? Is that really something to brag about?
Then he asks someone to hook him up with a new job. Good luck with that one, buddy. This isn’t reeeeeally the best approach.
His Facebook page has since been locked down.
AS you can imagine… the rumors are BLOWING UP.
The Wrap cited an anonymous source, “an individual familiar with the matter,” who claimed that Powell was “uncomfortable with the direction of the news organization in recent months. Fewer news shows. More opinion shows. Less resources for reporters to report.”
The online news source said a Fox News representative confirmed that Powell had left the company, but declined to comment further.
Powell’s last tweet came over the weekend and was in response to a story that Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and senior advisor, was quietly trying to do away with the U.N. Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), which has provided food and essential services to millions of Palestinian refugees for decades, according to Foreign Policy.
Or another way to say this is -the Trump Adminsitstion just farmed out US foreign policy #Netanyahu’s office #Kushner #Israel https://t.co/iPLbL28fnR

“Or another way to say this is -the Trump Adminsitstion (sic) just farmed out US foreign policy #Netanyahu’s office #Kushner #Israel,” he tweeted.
Hmmm…. so could his “issue” with Fox News be their support for our President?
It certainly looks like that may be the case.
But of course… that’s just speculation on my part. Maybe he reeeally misses the Roger Ailes days…
Though I sincerely doubt it.
Everyone’s got a theory:
There is an ideological angle to this that's overlooked in the report. Sometimes reporters deep down inside want to do some opinionizing. Unlike some organizations, FOX frowns on reporters doing that, and the reporters know other outlets will welcome it. https://t.co/sBS9D6YH9i

Wants more money for reporting, not opinion shows. But, to paraphrase Willy Sutton on robbing banks, networks are going to opinion because that’s where the ratings are. https://t.co/DtaIKYer7C

@FoxNews I hope they don't become like the other networks because they are the ONLY ONE who helps stand with us. But if they do, we'll make it and do fine. @FoxNews needs to comment on just what "direction" they are going in. https://t.co/a9qCfPU0J9

But…
It hasn't changed direction since it went on the air.
