Cowboys Owner Says Players On His Team Will Stand For The National Anthem, Regardless Of The NFL’s Decision

I thought the entire kneeling debacle was settled, but it’s not. The NFL decided to “halt” its decision that would’ve required players who are on the field to stand during the national anthem. Thanks for whining, NFLPA!

I’m beginning to wonder if this will truly be resolved by the start of the season.

However, one team owner said players on his team WILL stand, regardless of the NFL’s final decision on the matter.

Bet you can guess who.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

“As far as the Dallas Cowboys, you know where I stand, the team knows where I stand,” Jones said. “Our policy is you stand during the anthem, toe on the line.”

In addition, the players won’t have the option to stay in the locker room. They have to man up, come out on the field and show respect.

Jones is less than enthused by Trump’s interest in the matter. Remember this?

“His interest in what we’re doing is problematic,” Jones said. “Unprecedented, if you really think about it . . . but like the very game itself, that’s the way it is. We feel very strongly about how we deal with it. Of course, I’d like, everybody would like, it to go away.”

Ugh. I SOOOOO want a drama-free season.
