I just stumbled across a video that simultaneously reminds me to be grateful, and to be joyous…

Because how can you watch this sweet angel and not feel EXACTLY that? Grateful and joyous for all that we’ve been blessed with.

Mighty Miss Maya certainly is.

At 4 years and 10 months, a young girl with cerebral palsy defied every expectation by taking her first steps only two months after undergoing a major spinal procedure.

I convinced her to use her canes outside for the first time. 💪 Walking in the grass is a challenge, but she was motivated to get to those flowers so she could pick some for me. 😍 It was also a sneaky mom trick to get her to use one hand and do some squats. 💪
