Tom Arnold recently suggested that he and Cohen were getting together to take Trump down.

He was all, “I say to Michael, ‘Guess what? We’re taking Trump down together, and he’s so tired he’s like, ‘OK,’ and his wife is like, ‘OK, f*** Trump.”
Oh. OK?
On Friday, he backtracked and apologized to Cohen for…uhm…stretching the truth?
I just spoke to Tom Arnold about his comments on Michael Cohen last night. Here’s what he had to say: pic.twitter.com/TxppyKteeq

Michael Cohen didn’t say Me & him were teaming up to take down Donald Trump! Michael has enough Trump on his plate. I’m the crazy person who said Me & Michael Cohen were teaming up to take down Trump of course. I meant it. Michael doesn’t get paid by Vice #thehuntforthetrumptapes pic.twitter.com/af48aDZRvg

Thank you Tom for correcting the record.

Then even later in the day, Arnold appeared on CNN.

We’re all still recovering from the stench of whatever the heck that was.
Febreze isn’t working.
Even though Cohen thanked Arnold for correcting the record, he went a few steps further in another tweet. BEHOLD:
Appreciate @TomArnold kind words about me as a great father, husband and friend. This was a chance, public encounter in the hotel lobby where he asked for a selfie. Not spending the weekend together, did not discuss being on his show nor did we discuss @POTUS. #done #ridiculous

Sooooooooo…everything Arnold said was a huge whopper? I mean, that’s basically what Cohen just suggested.
What in the world is going on?
