Caravan Of Migrants Jumped On A Freight Train, Still Journeying To The US Border…

Remember that “caravan” of over 1,000 migrants we’ve been talking about? You can catch up here, here and here.

Long story short, they’re still coming to America and have a list of demands, which includes us opening our borders and giving them a “seamless entry” and recognizing their “right” to “dignified” work.

Even though we’ve been hearing that the caravan has been largely “disbanded,” it’s not entirely true. They’re just traveling in slightly smaller groups. Many of them are still on their way to the border. In fact, about 500 of them are hitching a ride on a freight train just outside of Tultitlán. They’re still coming here.

They were about 1,500 miles south of the US-Mexico border as they started heading northwest to the city of Celaya.

As the train slowed down, migrants scrambled around the train cars to find a way to climb aboard, throwing small bags of belongings onto the train and hastily helping one another.

Police and guards watched from a few feet away. Some took photos. None took action to stop the migrants as they climbed the train.

As migrants set makeshift tents with blankets to protect them from the dusty wind and scorching sun, people from the ground and a bridge above waved. Some tossed water and snacks. As the train pulled forward, one migrant yelled out, “Gracias Mexico!” (“Thank you Mexico!”)

Want to know why they’re thanking Mexico? Because it has handed out humanitarian visas, making it EASIER for migrants to continue on their journey to our border. They don’t have to worry about the Mexican authorities anymore.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying that there aren’t heartbreaking stories. Some of these people truly want a better life. However, coming to our country illegally isn’t the answer. It’s not fair to LAWFUL migrants, and it’s not fair to the American people.
