You guys know that I couldn’t care less about the royal family. I’m amused by their hats I guess? I think it’s cool that the Queen has met a gazillion US presidents. But to me, the royals are basically the classier version of the Kardashians, except they’re subsidized by the taxpayers. They’re famous because they’re famous. People are obsessed with them and every aspect of their lives. I mean, there are dozens of articles out there focusing on Kate Middleton’s feet. It’s freaky and weird. I know they’re public figures and should expect a certain amount of public interest and yes, scrutiny, but the overall obsession is reaching creeptastic levels. Check out this tweet from Marie Claire:
I’m not a fan of Meghan Markle by ANY stretch of the imagination, but this is just getting weird.
The entire post is devoted to that single strand of hair. They’re not bashing her– no. They say this gray hair serves as a symbol of her humanity and somehow, this should make you feel better about your grays.
Important news: Meghan Markle, human, has a gray hair. She revealed this truth when she left the house and it was, well, right there on her head.
It is glorious because, same.
It’s glorious? Why are we doing this? WHY?
Who knows if Meghan Markle is choosing to just own it, not waste the time and money on such frequent upkeep, or, just doesn’t notice because it’s ONE HAIR. But, either way, it’s nice to see she’s a regular person with a few stray grays, just like everyone else!
Oh goodie! I’m sure everyone with gray hair feels SO MUCH MORE CONFIDENT now! (For the record, I don’t have gray hair yet. I think I’m going to be lucky. I don’t think either of my parents noticed any gray hair until they hit their 40s. But also, I dye my hair so I’ll probably never know anyway, and I’m cool with that.)
Needless to say, people were PISSED at Marie Claire and went OFF. Hence, the deleted tweet.
CANCEL THE WEDDING….

YOu should be ashamed @marieclaire following in the footsteps of the tabloid press who hounded another princess about stuff like cellulite – pathetic journalism and a sad reflection of your editorial policies – looks more important than substance for women then? #regressive

🤔tweet deleted but the article lives on…it’s 2018; there are surely a million other things @marieclaire could invest resource into writing about https://t.co/2br1vS5xeg pic.twitter.com/PUdWNZElrV
