Early Reports Suggest School Resource Officer ‘Engaged’ The Great Mills High School Shooter

We’re still gathering information on the Great Mills High School shooting. This is still the only related tweet on the St. Mary’s Sheriff’s Twitter timeline. (As of 10:39 EST.)

There has been an incident at Great Mills High School. Parents please DO NOT respond to the school. Report to Leonardtown High School

The situation IS contained, and there are reports of three injuries, including the shooter. We still have multiple reports floating around, but it sounds like a school resource officer was on the scene and quickly addressed the situation.

UPDATE: 3 students shot in a hallway at Great Mills HS. Male shooter shot at female, another male student shot. School resource officer engaged shooter, exchanged gunfire. Shooter in critical condition, female in critical condition & male victim in critical, but stable condition.

However, according to police scanner audio, there has been one fatality, so we clearly have some conflicting information here.
