I’m sorry… what?
It turns out Rebekah Martinez, on the Attorney General’s missing persons database, isn’t missing. She’s just been on #TheBachelor.

Yeeeeeah. That’s weird.
PS DANG. That’s a pretty fantastic before and after up there.
A ‘missing’ woman has been spotted as a contestant on this season of The Bachelor.
Rebekah Martinez, of Fresno, California was reported missing on November 18 by her mother, who told the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office she hadn’t heard from her daughter since she she came to the area to work on a marijuana farm six days earlier.
OOOOKAY…so is this one of those things where you’re not allowed to tell people you’re going on the Bachelor before you go?
Or did this chick just not communicate with her mom?
Or did the mom just totally forget where her daughter was?!
THIS IS SO STRANGE. I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS.
The case came to light after the North Coast Journal included Martinez in a feature on the 35 missing people in the county, asking for anyone who had seen them or had any information to come forward.
An eagle-eyed reader responded that they had in fact spotted Martinez, on ABC’s popular reality show The Bachelor. The 22-year-old has since responded on Twitter.
‘MOM. how many times do I have to tell you I don’t get cell service on The Bachelor??’ she wrote.

AWKWARD.
She also joked that the ‘scariest thing about this story is that my efforts to conceal The Worst Drivers License Photo Of All Time have been thwarted.’

Humboldt County Sheriff has since confirmed that Martinez has been removed from the missing persons list.
The Bachelor began filming in September and it is likely that it would have continued through to December – meaning that Martinez would have been filming at the time she was reported as missing.
However, she remained active on social media, writing almost 30 posts on Instagram since she went ‘missing’, including one post on November 22, just four days after she was reported missing.
Surely she can’t be that close with her mom, right?
I mean… how does this even happen? Did she just forget to tell her mom she’d be totally MIA for weeks?
Martinez, who lists her occupation as a ‘nanny’ on The Bachelor website, has been a popular contestant on the show, renowned for her hilarious shocked reactions to the mansion drama.
At 22 she is also the youngest contestant on The Bachelor this year – and significantly younger than the 36-year-old race car driver bachelor, Arie Luyendyk Jr..
I’m not really judging. My guy is 12 years older than I am…
BUT.
I’m also not flighty enough to forget to explain to my family I’m going to be gone for a while…
I don’t watch the show. Surely some of you do. What can you tell us about this chick?
