James Comey Reacts To The FISA Memo: ‘That’s It?’

“Different man. Different suit. Same old political game.”

I’ll partially concede. It’s a certainly a different man. It’s certainly a different suit, but it is absolutely not the same old political game. Not this time around.

I’ve had a few days to soak in the SOTU reactions. I’m absolutely perplexed by members of the #resistance on both sides of the aisle. Juan Williams of Fox News said President Trump gave Democrats every “reason to sit on their feet and walk out early” during the SOTU address.

Even Meghan McCain– who I’ve recently praised for manhandling insufferable guests on “The View”– said the speech was “a lot more divisive” than she anticipated.

.@MeghanMcCain: Pres. Trump’s #SOTU speech “a lot more divisive than I had originally anticipated, but I’m sure conservatives will be very happy tonight.” https://t.co/5Zl2rgg6Pl pic.twitter.com/MFcvfPApYd

I’m sorry. I’m just not seeing it.

I expected leftist lawmakers to act like overgrown toddlers, but they truly put on quite the performance. They’re so devoted to blindly resisting and hating Trump, they’re utterly unwilling to celebrate the good happening in the country.

Do they truly represent you, Democrats? Is that how you feel? I’m genuinely asking. Are you OK with how your party’s leaders acted? Do you think they have a legitimate reason to resist?

I just don’t get it.

Democrats are resisting a record low black unemployment rate.

“Unemployment claims have hit a 45-year low. African-American unemployment stands at the lowest rate ever recorded, and Hispanic American unemployment has also reached the lowest levels in history.”

Democrats are resisting consumer confidence and business confidence.

“Small business confidence is at an all-time high. The stock market has smashed one record after another, gaining $8 trillion in value. That is great news for Americans’ 401k, retirement, pension, and college savings accounts.”

Democrats are resisting you getting to keep more of your own money.

“Our massive tax cuts provide tremendous relief for the middle class and small businesses.”

“To lower tax rates for hardworking Americans, we nearly doubled the standard deduction for everyone. Now, the first $24,000 earned by a married couple is completely tax-free. We also doubled the child tax credit.”

“A typical family of four making $75,000 will see their tax bill reduced by $2,000 — slashing their tax bill in half.”

Democrats are resisting the American dream.

“This is our new American moment. There has never been a better time to start living the American Dream.”

Democrats are resisting faith and family.

“In America, we know that faith and family, not government and bureaucracy, are the center of the American life. Our motto is “in God we trust.”

Democrats are resisting unalienable rights.

“We are defending our Second Amendment, and have taken historic actions to protect religious liberty.”

Democrats are resisting people picking themselves up and getting off the government dole.

“We want every American to know the dignity of a hard day’s work. We want every child to be safe in their home at night. And we want every citizen to be proud of this land that we love.”

“We can lift our citizens from welfare to work, from dependence to independence, and from poverty to prosperity.”

“As tax cuts create new jobs, let us invest in workforce development and job training. Let us open great vocational schools so our future workers can learn a craft and realize their full potential. And let us support working families by supporting paid family leave.”

Democrats are resisting closing the border to prevent drugs and criminals from coming here.

“For decades, open borders have allowed drugs and gangs to pour into our most vulnerable communities. They have allowed millions of low-wage workers to compete for jobs and wages against the poorest Americans. Most tragically, they have caused the loss of many innocent lives.”

Democrats are resisting helping AMERICAN CITIZENS.

“The United States is a compassionate nation. We are proud that we do more than any other country to help the needy, the struggling, and the underprivileged all over the world. But as President of the United States, my highest loyalty, my greatest compassion, and my constant concern is for America’s children, America’s struggling workers, and America’s forgotten communities. I want our youth to grow up to achieve great things. I want our poor to have their chance to rise.”

How can you be OK with your party’s leaders not standing up and cheering for that? What about ANY of those things is divisive in nature?

The American people have dreams too. Please explain to me how it’s racist to acknowledge that. Lawmakers– you were elected by the people to represent the American people. Not illegal immigrants. Not criminal gang members. Us. Stand up for us for once.

They can’t do that. It’s sickening. In fact, Rep. Luis Gutierrez was so offended by ”USA” chants that he furiously stormed out of the chamber.

We have a bipartisan standing ovation — and a lot of “USA!” chants. https://t.co/00Kmhu7ges

You were elected to represent people of the UNITED STATES. THAT is your country. We’re allowed to be proud of our country, and as a representative, YOU SHOULD BE TOO LUIS.

Democratic voters. Do you agree with him taking offense to that? Seriously? Does the Democratic Party truly represent you? Is this how you feel?

I mean, the ALCU is offended that President Trump said “America” too many times during the speech. This is the Democratic Party. They’re offended by the President of the United States saying the word America.

And they call us the extremists? Check yourself, Democrats. It’s time to decide if these people truly represent you.

President Trump invited Democrats to join him in unity, and they sat on their hands in defiance.

“So tonight, I am extending an open hand to work with members of both parties — Democrats and Republicans — to protect our citizens of every background, color, religion, and creed. My duty, and the sacred duty of every elected official in this chamber, is to defend Americans — to protect their safety, their families, their communities, and their right to the American Dream. Because Americans are dreamers too.”

We need to stop allowing Democrats to take every label. You’re a dreamer. Your kids are dreamers. I’m a dreamer.  We have dreams, goals and aspirations. Democratic voters, don’t you agree? Your kids are dreamers too. They matter.

Why couldn’t liberal lawmakers clap for that? What about that is divisive? What’s divisive about supporting Corey Adams, the all-American worker who supported himself through school and became a welder? What’s divisive about supporting Preston Sharp, a 12-year-old boy who laid American flags at the graves of our nation’s heroes? What’s divisive about standing up for Evelyn Rodriguez, Freddy Cuevas, Elizabeth Alvarado, and Robert Mickens– the parents who lost their daughters to members of MS-13? What’s divisive about supporting Fred and Cindy Warmbier, the parents who lost their son to the brutal regime in North Korea?

What about ANY of that is divisive?

“Americans fill the world with art and music. They push the bounds of science and discovery. And they forever remind us of what we should never forget: The people dreamed this country. The people built this country. And it is the people who are making America great again.”

“As long as we are proud of who we are, and what we are fighting for, there is nothing we cannot achieve.”

“As long as we have confidence in our values, faith in our citizens, and trust in our God, we will not fail.”

“Our families will thrive.”

“Our people will prosper.”

“And our Nation will forever be safe and strong and proud and mighty and free.”

Nothing about that is divisive. It’s positive. It’s optimistic. It’s America.

We wanted an outsider representing us and doing something different, and that’s exactly what’s happening. America is doing well because there’s newfound confidence. As soon as Trump undid regulations and implemented tax reform, businesses became CONFIDENT. CLAP FOR THAT FOOLS. That’s a GOOD thing. Admit you were wrong and clap. Put your ego aside, realize that you’re wrong and CLAP.

At this point, Democrats are resisting for the sake of resisting.

Democrats, remember who you’re siding with. These are your leaders. Do they truly represent you and your values?

I’d reconsider if I were you.

Don’t even get me started on the Democratic response from ChapStick happy Joe Kennedy III. I don’t know what America he’s living in, but it’s the not the America I live in. You’re meaning to tell me we’re “rolling back civil rights by the day”?

Please provide me with a list of the civil rights we’ve lost in the last year. Thanks.

Here’s the thing: Democrats will ALWAYS say we’re divisive, because they consider church, family, police, military and the national anthem divisive. Those are 1950s era concepts. Super outdated and racist.

Just ask Joy Reid.

Church … family … police … military … the national anthem … Trump trying to call on all the tropes of 1950s-era nationalism. The goal of this speech appears to be to force the normalization of Trump on the terms of the bygone era his supporters are nostalgic for. #SOTU

— Joy Reid (@JoyAnnReid) January 31, 2018

If you LIKE those things– church, family, police, military and the national anthem– you are a racist, divisive POS.  I repeat, loving those five things makes you a POS, in their book.

Illegal aliens who enter this country ILLEGALLY and suck on the government teat: Down-and-out people who need love and hugs

American citizens who go to church, love their family, pay their taxes and respect the military: Racist pieces of sh*t

If that makes me a POS, so be it.

The Democratic Party has gone off the deep end. If you have a “D” next to your name, how are you not embarrassed right now? How are you justifying the behavior of your party’s leaders? I really want to know.
