Nancy Pelosi Calls $1k and $2k Bonuses ‘Crumbs’

Hey Pelosi– your elitism is showing.

Democrats like to pretend that they’re “the party of the people.” They’re for the working man. That couldn’t be further from the truth. They refuse to acknowledge reality. I’ve actually had some difficulty explaining this to one of my grandmothers. She always says, “My father always told us that the Democratic Party is the party of the middle class and working people! I’m a Democrat and always will be one!” She refuses to acknowledge the reality around here. It’s funny, because if you just talk policy casually, she actually agrees with conservative positions. She’s just hung up on the title. A lot of older people are. It’s unfortunate.

Don’t even get me STARTED on the young low-fos.

Anyway. Democrats have done a fantastic job convincing everyone around them that the GOP’s tax cuts are horrible and scary. Peddling the narrative got difficult once companies started announcing bonuses galore, but Pelosi found a workaround. Bonuses are stupid. A $1,000/$2,000 bonus = crumbs.

I don’t know about you guys, but a $1,000 bonus isn’t “crumbs” in my world. Maybe it is to Pelosi, since she’s a LOADED GAZILLIONAIRE.

An extra 1,000 is the difference between not taking a family vacation or taking one. An extra $1 an hour is a tank of gas or a dinner out a few times a month. This matters to me.

It matters to MOST of us– the forgotten men and women of this country. The men and women Democrats choose to ignore. We don’t keep money flowing to their pockets. We don’t keep them in power, so we don’t matter. We don’t deserve “crumbs.”
