The first White House press briefing of the year took place Tuesday, and Sarah Sanders was quick as ever.
A reporter asked Sanders about the protests in Iran, and she didn’t even hesitate.
The Trump administration supports the protesters. We’re not going to sit by and stay silent like the Obama administration did. She said Trump’s administration wants to be sure the people “are given basic human rights and he would like to see [Iran] stop being a state sponsor of terrorism.”
She even managed to slap Hillary across the face in the process. It was truly a thing to behold.
“One of the big things – even Hillary Clinton outlined this – [is that] the Obama administration was too restrained,” Sanders said. “And for once, we agree with [Clinton]. President Trump is not going to sit by silently like President Obama did.”
