Police Respond To A ‘Significant Incident’ At Royal Air Force Base

Earlier, police responded to some sort of “significant incident” at the Royal Air Force base. This was particularly alarming, because the base is used by he U.S. Air Force.

It was freaky at first, because we didn’t really have much context, but now we have a better idea of what happened.

Apparently, a man in a vehicle tried to fly through a security checkpoint.

A Ministry of Defense (MoD) source told Sky News a man driving a car tried to force the vehicle into the base. The man has been taken into custody, according to Sky News.

A U.S. Air Force spokeswoman told Reuters the incident at the base was “contained” and the suspect was apprehended.

Police have responded to reports of a disturbance at RAF Mildenhall in #Suffolk and a man has been detained with cuts and bruises and taken into custody. No other people have been injured as a result of the incident.

At this point, we don’t know what this guy’s motives were, but I’m sure they weren’t good. Thank goodness no one was hurt.
