Liberals Outraged After Fox News Runs An Interesting Piece On One Of Roy Moore’s Accusers

Roy Moore. He’s all over the news. In case you’ve missed it, the Senate GOP candidate has been accused of pursing questionable relationships with teen girls 40 years ago. He was in his 30s at the time.

The Washington Post broke this story. According to the original piece, Moore allegedly kissed 14-year-old Leigh Corfman and touched her inappropriately.

Aside from Corfman, three other women interviewed by The Washington Post in recent weeks say Moore pursued them when they were between the ages of 16 and 18 and he was in his early 30s, episodes they say they found flattering at the time, but troubling as they got older. None of the three women say that Moore forced them into any sort of relationship or sexual contact.

Wendy Miller says she was 14 and working as a Santa’s helper at the Gadsden Mall when Moore first approached her, and 16 when he asked her on dates, which her mother forbade. Debbie Wesson Gibson says she was 17 when Moore spoke to her high school civics class and asked her out on the first of several dates that did not progress beyond kissing. Gloria Thacker Deason says she was an 18-year-old cheerleader when Moore began taking her on dates that included bottles of Mateus Rosé wine. The legal drinking age in Alabama was 19.

Moore denies the encounters took place, but he didn’t do himself any favors during his interview with Sean Hannity. It actually hurt him. Shortly after, Sen. Mike Lee withdrew his support. Moore wasn’t concise enough at hitting back at the accusations. For instance:

On the other side, there are rumors floating around that the Washington Post bribed these women into coming forward. And now, there’s this.

Apparently, one of the accusers has connections to the Clinton campaign.

One of the women accusing Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore of sexual impropriety reportedly worked as a sign language interpreter for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, a new report claims.

Deborah Wesson Gibson, who told The Washington Post that she briefly dated Moore when she was 17 and he was 34, founded the language interpreting company, Signs of Excellence, and has worked for a number of democratic campaigns, according to Alabama Local News.

The company’s Facebook page shows Gibson working for and posing with several Democrats at political rallies including 2016 presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, former Vice President Joe Biden, former Sen. Patrick Murphy, D-Fla., and Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla.

The thing is, Gibson’s “accusations” weren’t even the worst. She supposedly dated Moore when she was 17. He was 34 at the time, and they kissed. Plus, it sounds like her mother approved.

She recalled her mother saying she was “the luckiest girl in the world” that Moore wanted to date her, noting that he “had this godlike, almost deity status” in Gadsen, Ala., The Post reported.

Gibson alleged that she and Moore only kissed twice and said in retrospect, she’s “glad nothing bad happened.”

“As a mother of daughters, I realize that our age difference at that time made our dating inappropriate,” Gibson told The Washington Post.

Personally? I don’t think that “revelation”– that she worked for the Clinton campaign– is a huge deal. At least, not in the grand scheme of things. I mean, Corfman (the woman with the most damaging accusations) voted for Trump, so that kind of takes the edge off this particular revelation.

Still, Fox News ran that story, and Twitter is disgusted.
