Remember that one time the WaPo wrote an article about how most suicide bombers are Islamic a$$holes who use EXPLOSIVES? Oh wait. That never happened. They wouldn’t DARE do that.

ANYWHO. Mass shooters use guns, you guys. That’s a “nearly universal” characteristic. Also, men are the devil.

Advocates for reducing gun violence, then, are left in an unfortunate position. There are often warning signs that can be addressed before a shooter decides to open fire, but there often aren’t. There are demographic factors that seem to recur — but not universally. The one consistent factor is that the shooter has access to a firearm, and that’s perhaps the one factor that has proven politically impossible to overcome.

Soooo…possessing a gun is a warning sign? Seriously? Do they realize how idiotic that sounds? I happen to own a pressure cooker and a vehicle. Are those also warning signs that I’m secretly a murderous psycho?
