Woman Spikes Boss’s Coffee With Anti-Anxiety Medicine, Eye Drops And Caffeine Pills

I’m proud to say I’ve never owed anyone money.

Sure, someone may have spotted me five bucks for coffee or something here and there, I’m talking a real loan. (Student Loans don’t count.  Banks aren’t someone.)

I’ve been financially on my own since I moved out of my parents’ at 18, and I’ve kept a very detailed spreadsheet of each expense vs. my income ever since. It’s relaxing!

Some of you may think that sounds insane… others will totally get it. I get very mixed reactions. I’m happy to make you YOUR OWN budget spreadsheet, but it’s gonna cost ya… (I will then immediately factor that into my income column.)

Fortunately, if I ever DO have to ask someone for a personal loan, I know exactly what NOT to do….spike my lender’s coffee.

According to this:

A Wisconsin woman who plead guilty for spiking her bosses coffee with a foreign substance will face six months in jail.

 

Karen Zenner, 56, wanted to make her supervisor ill so she put anti-anxiety medication, eye drops and caffeine pills all in his coffee at their Athens, Wisconsin, business.

 

According to court records, the Spencer, Wisconsin, native admitted to putting substances in the coffee for three weeks in January.

 

And while her motive was not to kill her boss, Zenner did admit to trying to make him forget the $2000 he loaned her.

 

And according to the supervisor when he tried to take in a check that the woman had given him, the check bounced.

 

The boss noticed something was off when he kept finding ‘a slimy substance in his coffee cup’ and noticed an increase in his blood sugar, according to court documents.

 

The diabetic supervisor checked security footage to confirm his suspicions.

 

In addition to the jail sentence, Zenner was also placed on three years probation.

 

She will have to pay a restitution of $1175 and will have to write a letter of apology to her boss.

WTF were you thinking, Karen?

….and why the HELL did she think a anti-anxiety medication, eye drops and caffeine pills combo would do the trick?

Let’s talk about her punishment, shall we? She has to pay him $1175 in restitution…. but didn’t she borrow $2,000? Did she already pay some of it back, and THEN decided to poison him with the everything-I-can-find-at-Walgreens combo? Why not poison him before you pay ANY of it? Know what I mean?

Also… she’s forced to write an apology letter? Is that a real thing that happens? What is this, first grade?
