Like we’ve noted in previous posts, Hillary Clinton has not said a word about her mega donor and supporter, Harvey Weinstein. Even members of the mainstream media are starting to wonder why she’s staying silent. It’s not like she’s in hiding. She’s out there on her book tour. She’s doing interviews. Why hasn’t she said anything? That’s not very feminist!
Clearly, this is just taking her some time to digest. Her former running mate Sen. Tim Kaine has assured the world that Hillary will speak “when the time is right for her.”
“Hillary Clinton spoke for 90 minutes last night in California. But she didn’t mention Harvey Weinstein,” CNN’s Alisyn Camerota asked. “Why not?”
“Look, you know, Alisyn, I’m nobody’s press secretary. I’m a U.S. senator and I’m telling you that sexual harassment is unacceptable. And I really think it’s low-life behavior,” Kaine said.
Um, OK? Answer the question.
“Hillary Clinton speaks out against sexual harassment often. And I’m sure she’ll have a word to say when the time is right for her. But I don’t — you know, I’m not — I’m not anybody’s press secretary,” he added.
I don’t think Kaine should be held accountable for Hillary not speaking out, but I think his excuse is totally lame. Hillary only “speaks out against sexual harassment” when she’s on the campaign trail. If it benefits her politically, she’ll do it. Otherwise, it’s not worth her time. Just ask Bill’s accusers how much Hillary stood up for them.
Camerota then asked Kaine if he recommends that Hillary say something, and he was all, “Any leader, any leader should condemn this.”
“I mean, I have a 22-year-old daughter who is starting off, you know, in the work world. And I — when you read the stories about young women feeling pressured by somebody in a position of power, it makes you sick,” he added.

I know Kaine doesn’t want to throw Hillary under the bus, but it sounds like even HE is wondering why she hasn’t dropped a line of condemnation yet.
