I’m so baffled right now. Am I missing something? Is this his attempt at humor, or is this his actual opinion?
I tend to believe he’s dead serious, given his history. (I’ll get to that in a second.)
Either way, it’s bad. As I see it, there are two possibilities here. 1.) His “joke” sucks or 2.) He really believes that.
I’m gonna have to address it both ways, just to be safe. If you’re joking, Geraldo, well, you suck at jokes.
If you’re serious…well, here it goes.
The completely idiotic tweet was obviously inspired by the Vegas massacre. I know Geraldo has been in Puerto Rico and basically disconnected from the world, but he does know “silencers” and “machine guns” have nothing to do with what happened, right? That entire tweet is a gross generalization. Psychos can’t just go out and purchase “silencers” and “machine guns” willy-nilly, not to mention that they basically aren’t compatible.
How DARE he suggest that one of our FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS “sucks.” You suck, Geraldo. If you want to argue like a 5-year-old, I’m happy to oblige.

I’d also like to note that Rivera has said similar things about the Second Amendment, guns and NRA in the past. After the San Bernardino shooting, he said the NRA was “full of sh*t.”
