As you know, President Trump ruffled everyone’s feathers by calling NFL players who kneel during the national anthem SOBs.
I wasn’t offended by his remark. Quite honestly, that’s what most of us were already thinking. He just said it out loud.
The left is OMG SO OUTRAGED by Trump’s salty language. They’re clutching their pearls. Quick– someone fetch the fainting couch!
Sally Kohn wants us to take a moment and imagine what would’ve happened if Obama called Tea Partiers “SOBs.”

Here’s the thing, Sally. Tea Partiers weren’t protesting or questioning the greatness of our country. They never disrespected our military. They never put forth a divisive or nasty message. If they did– if they were saying, “This country sucks!” and disrespecting those who serve, I wouldn’t have a problem with Obama calling them SOBs. Unpatriotic losers are always SOBs in my book, and they always will be.
However, none of that applies to that situation, because love of country and respect for the military separated the Tea Partiers from the left. Therefore, SOBs would’ve been an inaccurate description.
I’d also like to point out that Obama treated conservatives like crap and did, in fact, call us names. Remember when he called us “tea baggers“? Or when he referred to us as “bitter clingers“? Or when he basically said we were “hold[ing] our democracy or our economy hostage”? Or when he called GOPers deadbeats? All throughout his administration, he described us as science deniers who hate elderly people, disabled people and minorities. We’re racist, sexist, bigoted, homophobic and xenophobic. We hate everyone! We hate him because he’s a black man who has a “feisty wife”!
Or “Tea-baggers” !!
