We’re at the tail end of Labor Day weekend, and while there are a LOT of things going on in our country right now – so many things for Trump to juggle – one of the things on my top-five do-do list for the President is tax reform. It’s one of the main reasons I voted for the guy, frankly. And I sincerely hope he gets it done, because taxes in this country are a freaking mess.
Businesses are taxed at almost 40% (that includes small business, who I believe are the backbone of this country), and individuals (the ones who actually pay taxes, that is) are paying more in taxes now than we do for FOOD and CLOTHING.
Freaking unacceptable.
Last week, the President went to Springfield, Missouri to chat about his four-point tax reform plan. Here are those four points:
And here’s the whole speech, if you’re so inclined:

Like I said, when an individual’s tax payments outweigh food and clothing expenditures? And when “we have gone from a business tax rate that is lower than our economic competitors to one that is more than 60% higher?”
We have a problem.
Especially when government has no issue spending our money on stupid crap, entitlements are out of control, and jobs are going overseas.
Git ‘er done.
