MSM continues to suck.
As you know, Texas is dealing with the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. I know this should be an irrelevant point in this conversation, but Texas is a red state. Many Texans pride themselves on their devotion to liberty and rugged individualism. That’s why it’s oh-so hilarious that the state has to bend over and accept money from the federal government.
That’s actually Politico’s hot take.
Texas prides itself on its rugged individualism, but this time, it has no choice but to accept years of gov't help https://t.co/QpWo10rILp

If it sounds like Politico is rubbing it in the state’s face, it’s because Politico is rubbing it in the state’s face.
Wow. If anyone still questioned if MSM was out of touch.

When you receive a medical bill do you 'accept the help' of insurance? Or are they doing exactly what you pay them to do?

I am astounded by your antipathy towards Americans with faith and the by the depth of your crass misunderstanding of Federalism.

Who have done the majority of rescues? Private citizens self-organizing and helping each other out.
— AusTexican (@AusTexican) September 1, 2017
Exactly. Clearly, Politico is blissfully unaware that private citizens and organizations are stepping it up in a big way. It’s not only the federal government extending a helping hand.
Hey Politico, your shitter's full and it's spilling over into the twitterverse. Might wanna get that checked. pic.twitter.com/UVtcOWNGVd

so wait, they should have drowned and refused help waiting for the government to do it's job? I repeat! #DeleteYourAccount

Last time I checked Texas hadn't seceded, and Texans were still required to pay Federal Taxes. 🤨🇺🇸 https://t.co/tZqsP44jHU

The assumption here is that gov't is a god you worship, not a service you pay taxes for, or a subordinate entity with duties to citizens. https://t.co/Cdgx5MPptD

Considering the federal government still owes Texas approximately $350 Million annually for incarceration of illegal aliens. Call it even.

Just when you couldn't sink any lower. This will only make Texas STRONGER. It must be exhausting kicking people when they are down
