An interesting report from TMZ:
The Koch Brothers reportedly helped finance “Wonder Woman” and other films with Bill Gates … and Donald Trump’s Treasury Secretary.
The way the story goes … Steven Mnuchin roped Charles Koch, David Koch and Gates into a production company he helped start to finance movies like ‘WW,’ “Dunkirk,” and Spielberg’s upcoming “Ready Player One.”
The Koch Brothers struck a $450 million deal in 2013 to become stakeholders in Mnuchin’s company RatPac-Dune Entertainment … and Gates was brought in as an investor for a similar amount, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Although Mnuchin has divested from the company because of his gig in Trump’s administration … the Koch Brothers are reportedly still very much involved.
Also worth noting … reps for the Kochs denied investing in RatPac.
Still, it’s interesting. The Koch Brothers — worth more than $96 billion — are known as backers of conservative efforts.
If this is true, then FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC.
If it’s not true, then it should be. And SOON.
As conservatives, we NEED to become a part of pop culture. EVERY SINGLE TIME we do a post on pop culture, we get a FLOOD of comments from people with things like “I don’t care, “Why is this important,” and “stick to real news, chicks.” GUESS WHAT FOLKS, if we don’t start caring, we’ll die out.
Hollywood and the media in general have SO MUCH influence over younger generations. Basically every single movie has some sort of liberal, SJW agenda. If you don’t think that’s completely calculated, if you don’t think that’s WORKING, then you are part of the reason conservatism dies in America.
As Mock has so perfectly stated in the past:
Pop culture and politics are inextricably linked. Ignoring the worst of humanity won’t make those horrific people go away nor will it make them less relevant. You’d have to be willfully in denial not to recognize that LGBTQ issues have influenced national policy – and the reason for that is because those activists are LOUD. Staying quiet isn’t the way to fight cultural enemies. We have to be as loud or louder.
YES! AS LOUD OR LOUDER!
What does that mean? We can’t just comment on pop culture, we have to BECOME pop culture. We have to stop letting liberals OWN all media and entertainment. We need to become part of that world. We need movies, TV shows, and music that are not AFRAID to promote a conservative message.
Here’s a start.
