Hot Mic Catches Sen. Collins Calling Another Lawmaker ‘Fat’ And ‘Unattractive’

We have another hot mic victim!

If you recall, Sen. Susan Collins was one of the Republican senators (along with Murkowski and Capito) who essentially killed the Senate health care bill last week. As a result, Rep. Blake Farenthold told a radio host that if Collins were a dude, he “might ask him to step outside and settle this Aaron Burr-style.”

In case you didn’t realize this, he’s joking. He didn’t actually challenge Collins to a duel.

Word got around to Collins, and a hot mic caught her talking to her colleague Sen. Jack Reed about it.

“Did you see the one who challenged me to a duel?” Collins asked.

“I know,” Reed said. “Trust me – do you know why he challenged you to a duel? Because you could beat the s**t out of him!”

She later added, “What a fat guy. He’s huge.”

“He’s so unattractive. It’s unbelievable,” she continued.

1.) I never want to hear her express outrage toward Trump or any colleague for commenting on a woman’s looks ever and 2.) I will never feel bad for mocking her voice ever again. I know she has some kind of condition, but it drives me up the wall. It could be used as a legitimate form of torture for me. Strap me to a chair and have her ask me questions and I’LL TELL YOU THE INFORMATION.

ANWAY, they’ve both apologized, so I guess this drama is over now.
