If you can come up with a decent explanation why Romney should be inserting himself into the health care debate, I’d like to hear it. Otherwise, I’m going to make fun of the Boston Globe for this idiotic report.
Apparently, it really grinds the Boston Globe’s gears that Mitt Romney – who does not currently hold any public office and really has no reason to be involved in the discussion if he chooses not to do so – is out spending time with his family on a waterskiing vacation while the Senate rages on in debate over health care –
While Republicans were debating the health bill in Washington, @MittRomney was … waterskiing? https://t.co/envEVKjZH2 pic.twitter.com/EsGn0brfpY

Um… why is what Romney does with his family anyone’s business? Especially when it pertains to DC politics? Are you nitwits flipping out over whatever Obama’s up to right now?
Well, the Globe wasn’t. But Vanity Fair did do this puff piece yesterday about Obama vacationing with family –

Sure doesn’t seem like there’s a problem for the media when the guy who was Actually President takes a break. So… why freak out over what Mitt Romney does with his spare time? Especially since it was the media who did everything they could to destroy Romney’s bid for president in 2012 (which arguably paved the way for President Trump in ’16. Just FYI) –
Well he could’ve been President serving his second term but idiots like you didn’t want that… https://t.co/KNdfTp1ISG

Yeah, you media twerps hounded him from public service because he had a methodical job candidate filing system, fuck off. https://t.co/knNITq3mF1

Mitt is a private citizen. Also, when he was saying in ’12 that Russia is a threat you mocked him.

Ummm…hmm, he’s not an elected official + doesn’t live in DC + it is summer. So crazy! Not a great example of journalism. https://t.co/7FJbFgYhSt

While Democrats were telling us the cold war is over, @MittRomney was … warning us about Putin? https://t.co/LC8PbrWkSy

He should have been sitting in a dark room, his only company the silence https://t.co/X6Bv0NiRix

Truly, the Boston Globe could have been berated ME for not tromping up to Capitol Hill and mugging for the camera over this healthcare thing and it would have made just as much sense as them whining that Romney’s not involved.
Just another example of how much the media blows and this time, everybody knows it.
