Thursday was National Bikini Day. I didn’t get the memo. Although I’m kind of a weirdo and generally hate bikinis– at least the super skimpy why-even-bother ones. It’s just a personal thing. I love love LOVE the retro high-waisted bathing suits though. I know those are technically bikinis, but I love them anyway. They’re my go-to. But I’ll always be more of a fall/winter kind of gal (says the girl who enjoys 70 degree Christmases in Florida.)
ANYWAY. Thursday. National Bikini Day. A bunch of girls celebrated the completely made up day by posting bikini shots. Some were tasteful. Some were…not. Take, for instance, Amy Schumer’s contribution. Nothing says National Bikini Day like a crotch shot!

Once again, Amy Schumer is incapable of making a joke without mentioning and/or drawing attention to her ladyparts. I don’t get it. Is this pose supposed to be funny? Is this a comedian thing I just don’t get?
Some of the comments on her photo baffled me.
“This is why I adore you! You are so real, honest and adorable! You inspire women to love themselves.”
If an Amy Schumer crotch shot inspires you to love yourself…you need help.
“Spare no expense for comedy.”
But…what part of this is comedy?
“Amy keeping it real!”
How? We all have crotches. Do we now need to ladyspread to keep things real? Is that how this works?
“There’s a side of you I’d never imagine I’d see!👀 cheeky monkey!”
Really though? Schumer and her crew are obsessed with talking about ladyparts and getting naked. You had to know this was coming eventually.
“Lol. Brave”
Crotch shots are brave now?
“LOVE YOU GIRL 🙏🏽💜🇦🇺 so true and honest with who you are.”
Crotch shots = true and honest Amy Schumer.
“absolutely amazing! sooooo real!!!!! 😍”
Crotchular shots are “absolutely amazing“? Man, “amazing” doesn’t mean what it used to.
“I love you thanks for being so real.”
I just don’t get it.
Sure. We all sit in weird, unladylike positions from time to time, but we generally don’t post them on the internet for attention.
We should really consider making modesty great again. Although I doubt that will ever happen as long as feminists continue posting pictures of their crotchular areas for inspirational/comedic purposes.
