Venezuelan LGBTQ Activists Are Upset That People Are More Concerned About Starving Than Gay Rights

If pointing out the real human tragedies created by socialism still doesn’t convince all the social justice Bernie Bros that socialism is an incredibly crappy economic system to live under, maybe the fact that people don’t care quite as much about leftist grievances when they can’t find basic human needs will snap these lunatics out of their delusions.

Or maybe they’ll just ignore the problem altogether and accuse the starving masses of being bigots.

Case in point.

According to that sourcelink, LGBTQ activists in Venezuela are leaving the country because their complaints about anti-gay hate crimes don’t quite resonate with a populace that doesn’t know where their next meal is coming from. And rather than stop and think “Gee, maybe we’re focusing on the wrong issues in Venezuela,” these activists are upset that no one seems to care whether or not LGBTQ folks get what they’re demanding.

Why are they so worried about staying alive anyway? Don’t they know that hate crimes against gays are TOTALLY a thing?

Gay activists in Venezuela are leaving the country because more attention is given to finding food that combating hate crimes against the gay community, reports NBC News.

“The basic issue is that we are not an issue.When basic needs [are not being met], when people are more concerned with finding a meal to eat, you don’t have time to focus on [LGBTQ rights],” Isaac Perez said. Perez fled Venezuela in 2014 to resettle in Argentina.

Armstrong Santana, a gay Venezuelan who moved to France, said he could only become his true self after leaving his country.

“I left the country because living in the most dangerous city in the world (Caracas) is not propaganda, but a cruel reality,” Santana told NBC News. “I also realized [leaving] was the only way I was going to be able to be who I really was.”

Talk about your messed-up priorities.

It’s just amazing to me that even in the midst of a horrific economic crisis where people are hunting dogs and pigeons for food just to survive, the Cult of Social Justice still can’t stop being preachy and overbearing about their pet projects. I mean, don’t gay people have to eat too? Aren’t they concerned about basic survival? Or is starvation just a straight-person problem and gays have too much “social justice privilege” to care about that sort of thing?

Don’t talk to me about demanding basic human rights for LGBTQ people and then trivialize the plight of those living under the hell of socialism.
