By now, you’ve probably seen a ton of headlines and/or articles about how the House GOP’s health care proposal makes rape a “pre-existing condition.” Everyone shared that false information, including Supreme Hosebeast Ashley Judd, who retweeted this:

It’s a load of crap, which I explained in greater detail here. But here’s another brief recap.
No. There’s nothing explicitly about sexual assault in the bill. The bill does allow states to seek a waiver, which would allow insurance companies to charge high-risk individuals with a “richer” medical history more, but to say that it specifically considers sexual assault a pre-existing condition? Disingenuous. Not to mention that states that do request that waiver would be required to set up high-risk insurance pools. On top of that, all but two states (Idaho and Vermont) explicitly prohibit insurance companies from denying coverage to victims of sexual assault due to, well, a past of domestic abuse.
Well, lo and behold. The left’s favorite fact-checking sites admitted it.
Gotta love how they’re all “bloggers.” Gotta leave it vague. They certainly can’t throw their liberal buddies under the bus completely.
