Congrats, liberals. You’ve topped yourselves.
A few days ago, President Trump approved a strike on a Syrian airbase in response to Assad’s recent chemical attack. Plenty of valid questions follow, but Clara Jeffery, the Editor-in-Chief of Mother Jones, has all the insight.
That the missiles are callled tomahawks must enrage a lot of Native Americans
— Clara Jeffery (@ClaraJeffery) April 8, 2017
Don’t worry. I did a double take too. Assad’s gassing children, and this woman is concerned over how everyone feeeeeeeeeels about the name “Tomahawk missiles.” FOR REAL. As if we’re mocking Native Americans by naming something completely awesome after them.
Only those looking for a reason to be pissed off. It's tribute not mockery. https://t.co/wYAk08PMWN

That’s what Jeffery believes is on every Native American’s mind. Screw the fact that a brutal regime is murdering children. Forget the fact that the United States is trying to deter the use of deadly chemical weapons. Are Native Americans triggered by the name “Tomahawk missiles”? That’s the REAL question.
How demeaning and offensive is that to Native Americans? Does she really believe they’re that petty, self-absorbed and vapid? Quick! Someone call Elizabeth Warren and ask her how she feels about this injustice! I’m sure she has some valuable insight!

*shudders*
Anyway, there you have it. Some progressives want people to be offended by the name of a missile. Meanwhile, we’re trying to prevent Assad from murdering more innocent people.
