April 29, 2026You’re telling me the Socialist who ran on “everything will be free, and the rich will pay a crap ton of taxes,” and then began implementing those things as soon as he got into office has led the city into a budget crisis? I don’t believe it. Except that of course I do. He wanted public transportation and everything that actually brought revenue into the city to be free and thought the rich would just pay for all of it. Instead, the rich left and now just four months after getting into office the city has no money. I’m shocked. Truly.
It’s almost as if Socialism isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Instead of fixing his broken policies that are driving people and businesses from NYC and leading it to bankruptcy, he’s just asking for more money from the state. More money that he will inevitably blow in a few more months, and be right back here again in August.
New York should have known this guy was a quack when the guy against voter I.D. made people show two forms of identification to help shovel snow. Because the city couldn’t plow the roads. You get the government you deserve. And if New York wanted Socialism so badly, they shouldn’t be complaining now that they have it. Shocking it only took four months to get this bad. He promised everything to the New Yorkers, but instead just took their money and basically bankrupted the city.
