We all know that feminists get mad at men for the dumbest reasons. I suppose it helps them feel relevant in a society that has no need of this idiotic “Gender War” anymore. And, like we’ve said countless times before, if they believed in freeing women from true oppression, they’d be going after Islamic countries and ISIS for the abysmal way they treat women and girls.
You know the drill by now.
According to this, on International Women’s Day (or the #DayWithoutAWoman – depending on who you talk to), an app was released that brings AWAAAAAARNESS to how often women are interrupted by men. Namely, it helps feminists keep track of how many times they personally are interrupted by men. What they do with this data at the end of the day, I suppose is up to them. I guess they can wave it in all our faces and use it as absolute proof that men are so sexist and misogynist that they just want women to shut up.
So…. if I want feminists to shut up, does that make me a misogynist? Or am I something worse? (Trust me – I’ve been called worse. I think they think it’s supposed to hurt my feelings or something.)
From the article –
“At first glance, it may seem like a small problem, but it reflects deeper issues of gender inequality at work and in society,” said Gal Barradas, BETC Sao Paulo founder and co-CEO. “The app is a way of showing that in fact the interruption is real and alarming,”
[…]
“We women struggle every day to get our space in the workplace and the right to express ourselves,” Barradas said. “When we get there, Manterrupting reduces our participation. We want men to ask themselves: Am I doing this without even realizing it? After all, what’s the point of having more women in a meeting room if nobody hears what they have to say?”
The app is pretty easy to use. Users first record their own voices before the app can track conversations and interruptions. It uses your phone’s microphone to pick up and analyze conversations and tracks the number of interruptions by men.
And there’s even a VIDEO, y’all!

Oh good grief – most of their examples are from political talk shows where EVERYONE gets interrupted or does the interrupting. ALL THE FREAKING TIME. It’s not just men interrupting women – everybody talks over each other and nobody gets to speak their peace (it’s one of my biggest peeves about political talk shows, honestly. Nothing ever gets accomplished on those stupid things and everyone’s always pissed off).
Sheesh, feminists – not everything has to be about you.
Though I do like that this app also has the side benefit of insinuating that feminists can’t count, which I actually find to be a bonus.
You’ve gotta love the teaser image AdWeek used with this story –

Irate pink-haired harpy looking like she’s about to bite this guy’s testicles off? Par for the course for feminism.
