About 447,000 more people participated in the labor force in February than in January– 152.5 million were employed total. Even CNBC admits that it’s “the highest ever.” Needless to say, the number of Americans NOT participating in the labor force is beginning to drop. A record 95,102,000 were not participating in December 2016. That dropped to 94,190,000 in February.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics Report– not to be confused with the ADP National Employment Report– the economy added 235,000 jobs in February, including 28,000 manufacturing jobs. Keep in mind, only 190,000 total jobs were expected.
And to think. We’re only 50 days in.
