Van Jones Can’t Understand Why People Would Vote For Donald Trump After Voting For Obama

Poor Van Jones. First he finds out that there were Actual Women who didn’t vote for Hillary Clinton because they (rightly) believed that Hillary is genuinely awful. And now this.

He must be having an existential crisis right now. Bless his heart.

According to this, Jones visited the Seitz family of Ohio and they told him why, after voting for Barack Obama twice, they switched party loyalties and voted for Donald Trump in 2016 (with the exception of their mom, Derinda who voted straight Democrat, but left her presidential vote blank).

And, as with the Democrat woman who couldn’t stand the idea of voting for Hillary Clinton, Van Jones is having a tough time comprehending the Seitz’s reasoning. Even though they explain that they wanted jobs and they wanted a change

I’ve gotta say, it’s so funny watching Jones go up to the door with a look on his face like he’s going into the Seventh Circle of Hell to talk to Satan himself. By contrast, Scott Seitz answers the door like he’s welcoming a dear friend that he hasn’t seen in years into his home.

Good grief, Van. Relax. They’re not going to bite you.

I adore the Seitz family, quite frankly. I don’t even care that they voted for Barack Obama in the past. What I care about is the fact that they looked at who they voted for before, they looked at what that party had done to them personally, and they said “Nope. No more. We want something different.” And they voted accordingly. They weren’t shackled to the Democratic Party and they didn’t kiss Queen Hillary’s ring, just because the Democrats told them to (speaking of billionaires who don’t resonate with the blue-collar workers…)

I don’t know why that’s so difficult for Van Jones to understand. People don’t like being lied to and they don’t like being taken advantage of. Once you get out of the New York City leftist bubble and you actually TALK to people who are struggling with jobs and income, you realize that it wasn’t that big of a leap.

I will give Van Jones some credit – at least he’s talking to these people and saying that he wants to understand. Beyond that, he’s giving them a chance to explain their positions and not making them look stupid. He’s sitting at their kitchen table, having a simple homecooked meal, and discussing politics the way the rest of America does.

Not many leftist media elites would condescend from atop their New York City offices to meet with the little people and treat them like human beings.

Regardless, the Seitzes are the quintessential Trump voter in 2016. They got screwed by the Democrats, they liked what they heard from Donald Trump as it pertains to the economy, so they decided to give him a chance. And that’s really all it boils down to.
