I’m still digesting Thanksgiving dinner. That certainly doesn’t stop me from going back for seconds. Or thirds. Or having leftovers for breakfast.
Best. Holiday. Ever. I don’t know how anyone could not like Thanksgiving, honestly.
Somehow, though, there’s always somebody. No surprise that it’s PETA coming in to be utter killjoys.
PETA was busy yesterday, not enjoying a lovely Thanksgiving meal like most sane Americans, but tweeting about how TERRIBLE people are for eating a huge turkey feast and giving thanks for it –

Is that supposed to make me feel sorry for animals whose sole purpose for being bred and raised is to be eaten? I grew up on a farm, people. I KNOW full-well where my meat comes from. I’ve raised plenty of it myself. And it still tastes delicious.
There’s plenty more idiocy where that came from –

I’m thankful for vegans too. That means there’s more turkey for me.

Oh yes – we just keep cows around so fluffy puppies can give them kisses and they can be cute. That’s the ONLY reason cattle ranchers spend their lives and fortunes to raise hundreds of thousands of cows each year.
Give me a break.

Laying in a pig stall? Does that chick know how filthy pigs are? EWWWWWWWW….
Turkeys everywhere are thankful for everyone choosing to leave them off their plate today ❤️ #Thanksgiving pic.twitter.com/1NQzZ12kIa

Hey – there’s an idea! Feed turkeys cranberries so I don’t have to combine turkey and cranberry sauce on my plate! There’s more room for mashed potatoes that way! Thanks, PETA!

Vegan roast? I’d rather eat cardboard.
The way PETA goes on and on about animals and how terrible humans are to them makes me think that they’d be okay with humans, not just not eating meat, but also quitting eating altogether.
Either way, I’m perfectly happy to ignore their self-righteous preaching and enjoy my delicious Thanksgiving turkey dinner.
