Bernie Sanders: White People ‘Don’t Know What It’s Like To Be Poor’

Last night during CNN’s Democratic debate, Don Lemon asked the crusty old socialist and criminal grandmother about their “racial blindspots.” Because everything’s about race in the left’s world. They constantly try to pit us against each other, whether by income, gender or skin color. That’s just how they roll. They preach about equality and being colorblind ALL THE TIME, but they’re the individuals who can’t get over race. They can’t help themselves. They have to bring it up in every single conversation. They don’t believe the American dream is for everyone. They believe that certain races need “extra help” to achieve it. How demeaning is that?

But back to the debate. Hillary Clinton responded to the question by letting everyone know that she’s very much aware that she’s white and has “never had the experience” that many African Americans have gone through.

Bernie Sanders kicked it up a notch. He talked about a #BlackLivesMatter protester who told him that he’ll never understand his level of suffering, because he’s white.

“You don’t understand the degree to which we are terrorized,” he recounted the protester telling him. “I’m just talking about everyday activities where police officers are bullying people.”

Sure he does!

And then Sanders went completely off the rails and said that white people don’t know what it’s like to be poor. I’m dead serious.

“When you’re white, you don’t know what it’s like to be living in a ghetto. You don’t know what it’s like to be poor. You don’t know what it’s like to be hassled when you walk down the street or you get dragged out of a car,” Sanders said. “And I believe that as a nation in the year 2016, we must be firm in making it clear, we will end institutional racism and reform a broken criminal justice system.”

You hear that? If you’re white, there’s absolutely NO WAY you could know what it’s like to be poor and struggling and facing injustices in the world. If you’re white, you’re rich and privileged. It’s as simple as that.

However, people seemed to be more upset with his use of the word “ghetto.”

He knows that all Black people don't live in ghettos, right?
