You know it’s bad when your little minions deviate from your “all is well” narrative.
During a Q&A at the G20 summit Monday, President Obama told the world that he TOTALLY has ISIS under control. The Paris attacks are nothing more than a setback, and he’s going to continue the current non-strategy strategy we have going on, because it will work eventually. It just takes time. Lots and lots of time.
When reporters pressed him further, he became visibly irritated.
“I just spent the last three questions answering that very question,” Obama shot back. “I don’t know what more you want me to add. I think I’ve described very specifically what our strategy is, and I’ve described why we do not pursue some of the other strategies that have been suggested.”
Yeah. In case you missed it, Obama said we can’t really bomb the crap out of ISIS because it’s not all about “looking tough.” Or something.
“… what I do not do is to take actions either because it is going to work politically or it is going to somehow, in the abstract, make America look tough, or make me look tough.”
No worries there, President Mom Jeans.
He also doubled down on the claim he made last week. He really believes “we are containing their [the Islamic State’s] spread.”
People are still in shock. Is he really that disconnected? Is his ego blinding him? Can he really not see how much his “strategy” sucks? For crying out loud, it’s not just Republicans saying it!
Cue Sen. Dianne Feinstein.
In an interview with MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell, Feinstein admitted that ISIS isn’t contained.
“I have never been more concerned,” Feinstein said. “I read the intelligence faithfully. ISIL is not contained, ISIL is expanding. They just put out a video saying it is their intent to attack this country…”
“There’s only one way we are going to diminish them and that is by taking them out, because they are growing. They are in more than a dozen countries now, they are sophisticated, they have apps to communicate on that cannot be pierced even with a court order,” she continued.
“They are on the march. It is important to recognize this and prepare to deal with it with action,” Feinstein added. “And candidly, I don’t think bombing runs alone, we have done about 8,000 now, can really make a difference.”
Even Democrats believe Obama’s living in an alternate reality. That’s how bad this is.
