“Peaceful Protest” Means Baltimore Police Officers Are Fearing For Their Lives

Rioters in Baltimore have space to protest, no problem! But police officers who are there to protect innocent bystanders and catch criminals – well… that's a different story.

The Baltimore Police Department has released a statement warning that there are "credible threats" to police officers from gangs who have descended upon the city to protest the death of Freddie Gray –

Well, that's just lovely. Anyone going to speak up for the police officers putting their lives on the line? What about THEIR families and loved ones? Anyone think about that? (Of course not. 

And it's gets EVEN BETTER (which means it's absolutely horrible). People on Twitter responded to the BPD's warning to their officers in some of the most vile ways –

This whole thing is just sick. People looking for opportunities to commit violence and destroy lives and property and for what? I honestly don't even know anymore. There's no reason for any of it, other than they just want to get on TV. I guess. This isn't bringing justice for anyone. And it's certainly not what Martin Luther King marched for.

I would say it's become a joke, but there just isn't anything funny about violence. It's absolutely hideous.
