I went to Chick-fil-A last night to get Dandelion some nuggets. The child, like her Mama, looooooves her some Chick-fil-A. And of course, I’ll have to spend some money there today as well, since today is Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day!
Of course, the REAL haters will be out in full force. You know, the folks that hate the United States Constitution and that pesky First Amendment, but I hope that Chick-Fil-A makes GOBS of money today. Because, CAPITALISM. And because, FREEDOM.
Here’s some additional awesomeness from the Coalition of African-American Pastors. They have equated the boycott of Chick-fil-A (and government officials trying to keep them from opening more restaurants in their cities) to the “discrimination that blacks faced during the civil rights movement.”
And let me just say that I agree ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY PERCENT on this.
Behold the common sense:
Let me emphasize these particular quotes:
“It’s a disgrace. It’s the same thing that happened when I was marching for civil rights, when they didn’t want a black to come into their restaurant, they didn’t want us staying in their hotels. Now they’re saying, because we take a Christian position, they don’t want us in their cities.”
Owens continued, “Well, we won’t take it. We will stand up and they will learn, they will learn that they can’t do that to any people, by destroying religion, by destroying the family, we will stand up.”
God bless these pastors. God bless Chick-Fil-A. And God bless the FIRST AMENDMENT.
I can’t WAIT to get some chicken today. Chew on that, libs.
