According to this, the Obamas are enjoying their Hawaiian vacation by clearing off beaches and emptying ENTIRE MALLS so that they can amuse themselves privately.
They closed down a PUBLIC BEACH, you guys. And while they have a private theater in the White House, where they can enjoy advance screenings of basically any movie they desire, they felt it necessary to have an entire shopping mall cleared out on New Year’s Eve, so they could watch Avatar there. Even Democratic state senator Clayton Hee seemed to question that: “I must admit that when you close down shopping centers you’re pushing the envelope of the patience that people might have otherwise,” he said.
I don’t begrudge the president a family vacation. But when the entire world is pretty much at his disposal, couldn’t he find a private resort to stay at where he wouldn’t be disrupting the lives of an ENTIRE SHOPPING MALL of people? Or one where he wouldn’t deprive the public from enjoying a public beach?
A petty complaint? Maybe. I prefer to think of it as the chocolate sprinkles on the giant cake of crap he’s already served up during his first year.
