Pete Buttigieg Sexual Assault Accusation Update

According to this, the story that made the news rounds yesterday about a sexual assault allegation against Pete Buttigieg is a hoax perpetrated by two GOPers – Jack Burkman and Jacob Wohl. We’ve removed our earlier post about it.

If that’s true, then those two morons deserve every consequence coming to them, especially since Hunter Kelly is an Actual Person – a student at Ferris State University in Michigan, and his name and likeness were used without his permission for the post on Medium.com.

Apparently, Burkman and Wohl aren’t commenting, and the Medium.com post has been taken down.

On his Facebook account, Hunter Kelly said, “I was not sexually assaulted. It’s important for everyone to know that I was not sexually assaulted and would never falsely accuse anyone.”

This is just sick and wrong on so many levels. This is Jussie Smollett sick and wrong.

Hunter went on: ‘To keep it brief for now – I was approached by a political figure to come to DC to discuss political situations from the standpoint of a gay Republican. When I arrived they discussed Peter Buttigieg and started talking about how they would be working a campaign against him. I went to bed and woke up to a fake Twitter @RealHunterKelly and an article that I in no way endorsed or wrote. I have since left and am working on a formal statement to give to everyone including the Buttigieg family.’

Hunter also told the Advocate that Wohl and Burkman had even flown him to DC this past Sunday, and that he stayed at Burkman’s home. He never agreed to make up a sexual assault story, and when he discovered what had happened he had his sister come fetch him from DC.

This all sounds shady AF, and I look forward to hearing how Burkman and Wohl will explain this away.

The fact of the matter is that this crap is NOT HELPFUL. Buttigieg is a disaster candidate already – there is no reason to make up stuff about him.

I’m so tired of political games like this.
