I’ve noticed that a number of coffee shops have been attempting to provide viable alternatives to plastic straws. Even some restaurant waiters and waitresses ask, “Would you like to skip using a plastic straw in order to save the turtles?” I like turtles just as much as the next guy, but I hate that emotional manipulation nonsense. No. I don’t want to “save the turtles,” k thanks bye.
