During Thursday afternoon’s press briefing, Jim Acosta tried to get Sarah Sanders to make him feel like a very special boy. Trump hurt his feeeeewings, and he needed an apology!
“I think it would be a good thing if you were to say right here at this briefing if the press … are the not enemy of the people,” he said. “I think we deserve that.”
Hi Jim. I think it would be good thing for you to shut up. I think I deserve that.
That’s why I couldn’t be the press secretary.
Sarah handed him his a$$ on a silver platter. She told him that it’s a two-way street and basically called MSM out for acting like total hypocrites. They CONSTANTLY attack her.
“It’s ironic Jim that not only you and the media attack the President for his rhetoric when they frequently lower the level of conversation in this country,” Sanders said. “The media has attacked me personally on a number of occasions… said that I should be harassed, that I should be choked.”
“When I was hosted by the correspondence association you brought a comedian up to attack my appearance and called me a traitor to my own gender,” she continued.
“The media continues to ratchet up the verbal assault against the president and everyone in this administration,” she added. “Certainly we have a role to play, but the media has a role to play for the discourse in this country as well.”
This Sarah Sanders vs. Acosta exchange is 🔥

As far as she knows, she’s the first press secretary who requires Secret Service protection. What does that TELL you?
That answer didn’t satisfy Jim. He didn’t get his precious apology.
I walked out of the end of that briefing because I am totally saddened by what just happened. Sarah Sanders was repeatedly given a chance to say the press is not the enemy and she wouldn't do it. Shameful.

Jim Acosta only cares about Jim Acosta. I think he’s confused by how his job is supposed to work. He’s not supposed to be the news. He’s supposed to report the news. Apparently, Sleepy Chuck Todd doesn’t get that either, because he eagerly jumped on the “we’re so disappointed by Sarah Sanders” train.
An extraordinarily disappointing moment by @PressSec just now… Her inability to acknowledge the role POTUS has played in all of this media bashing only hurts her own credibility…She had a chance to defend the institution and take the high ground and show leadership, instead..

I’m really sick of these clowns talking to Sarah in the tone of a disappointed father. Who do they think they are?
Maybe the media should stop blaming others and take responsibility for themselves. https://t.co/ffzuf4BwwU

That you are "disappointed" validates her actions.
We want to destroy your bubble. https://t.co/rK9Opz34wW— Kurt Schlichter (@KurtSchlichter) August 3, 2018
This isn't a coordinated message at all, nope nosirree https://t.co/3Pp7IdQ46d

They refuse to take any sort of responsibility for their deliberately erroneous reporting. They’re completely incapable of looking in a mirror. I don’t think they’ll ever change, either.
So insufferable.
