The same liberals who were screaming about the NFL’s new rules being A VIOLATION OF FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS (they’re not) are also celebrating the cancellation of ‘Roseanne’ as some kind of Social Justice victory.
Some defenders of free speech, eh?
PS: While I do not agree with Roseanne’s cancellation, you won’t hear me screaming “OMG FREE SPEECH” from the rooftops… because the First Amendment HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS. A private company canceled a show – it’s their right to do so. People’s inability to understand that the First Amendment doesn’t mean “you are free to say whenever you want, wherever you want, without consequence” truly drives me up a WALL.
Anyway… Debra Messing is CRYING TEARS OF JOY over this. F’real. Seriously.
I just heard #rosanne is cancelled. My reaction— tears. I am so relieved and grateful. The hate that has been spewing from those in Trump’s orbit has really taken a toll on all of our souls and psyches. I didn’t believe it would happen. I had lost faith. Thank you @abc .

Take it away, folks:
Good lord, you Hollywood clowns are insufferable. https://t.co/lY5uv0sUz8

You might want to think about mood stabilizers if this is the kind of thing that brings you to tears. https://t.co/VrzYbhifq9

As I recall, Messing was also nearly in tears when Bernie Sanders suggested the rich should pay more tax. https://t.co/Q8VBrL06Qq

Yeah, girl’s a crier.
This is why we shouldn’t take Hollywood seriously. Tears? Jeez https://t.co/gVtCPkXSgV

Crazy how the cancellation of a sitcom seems to have solved all the worlds problems overnight… https://t.co/lvuihEi6W0
