Talk about an interesting development.
North Korea has announced that it’s willing to talk to the US about possible denuclearization. This comes after South Korea’s presidential national security director’s two-day visit to North Korea.
President Trump said on Tuesday said “the world is watching” North Korea after the regime promised not to use nuclear or conventional weapons against Seoul and expressed a willingness to hold talks with the United States on denuclearization.

Possible progress being made in talks with North Korea. For the first time in many years, a serious effort is being made by all parties concerned. The World is watching and waiting! May be false hope, but the U.S. is ready to go hard in either direction!

I like President Trump’s cautious approach. We can’t get ahead of ourselves. This is still North Korea we’re talking about.
“The North side clearly affirmed its commitment to the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and said it would have no reason to possess nuclear weapons should the safety of its regime be guaranteed and military threats against North Korea removed,” Chung Eui-yong’s statement said. “It made it clear that while dialogue is continuing, it will not attempt any strategic provocations, such as nuclear and ballistic missile tests.”
North and South Korea agreed to hold summit talks in April at the border. The leaders will establish a “hotline” communication channel to lower military tensions, Chung added.
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson on Tuesday called for countries to further isolate North Korea despite the Hermit Kingdom’s offer to discuss denuclearization.
“North Korea threatens the entire global community through its unlawful nuclear and ballistic missile programs and proliferation activities, including its arms exports to Africa. It doesn’t just involve our allies in Europe or Asia. It doesn’t just include countries with longstanding ties to [North Korea] like China and Russia. This is and must be a global effort,” Tillerson said in a speech at George Mason University.
This truly begs the question. Why the sudden change of heart, North Korea?
Wonder why?

This is a great victory for @POTUS. The threat of “fire and fury” has worked. https://t.co/DUsuI2WVR3

If this North Korea thing happens, @realDonaldTrump could win the Nobel Peace Prize. And unlike Obama, he will have earned it.

It is positive rhetoric, but NK has been lying to the world since 1952. This is a ploy for lessening of sanctions and foreign aid $$. Inside NK or the Kim Jong Un regime, nothing has changed. No foreign aid or removal of sanctions! #MAGA

I don’t trust them but this would be just tremendous for the world.

Trump announces tariffs on China. Three days later North Korea declares that they are ready to give up their nukes.
So many people are missing the big picture here.

North Korea is "ready to denuclearize if regime safety is assured."
Massive diplomatic victory for Trump.
Remember, not long ago some on the left were telling us his "nuclear button" tweet was going to cause planetary annihilation .https://t.co/7R9omzvbg7

I’m remaining cautious, but this is certainly a significant development. Let’s not downplay it.
