March 6, 2018Years ago, a clever and competent reader sent me this video, KNOWING how much I love flashmobs, but perhaps NOT knowing that I am a first generation American whose parents are Polish, and probably ALSO not knowing that Les Miserables is one of my most favorite musicals ever ever ever.
You guys, the lyrics are all in Polish. You won’t understand them, but I assure you it doesn’t matter, because the melodies are universally recognized, and their voices are completely amazing, and it’s just the most fantastically awesome way to promote Les Mis EVER.
I don’t have words to express my glees over this. The only thing that somewhat dampens my glees is the reaction from some of the onlookers, who look like total jerks. If I am EVER subjected to a flashmob, I can assure you that I will be the most eager participating onlooker in the history of flashmobs. Frankly, I cannot believe I haven’t been subjected to one yet. It’s really sort of unacceptable.
